New Bar On Needham Street: Goodbye Mick Morgans, Hello Grande Kitchen
Mick Morgans closed shop earlier this year to get a makeover. Now open? Grande Kitchen + Bar.
NEWTON, MA — Mick Morgan's pub is no more, at least in Newton. Following months of renovation, the makeover and name change is complete. The Irish pub has been traded out for a modern American fare and bar.
The same owners revamped the spot nestled just off of Needham Street and now Grande Kitchen + Bar is open for business. The owners appear to be the same, but the vibe, complete with a new chef and menu are revamped. (Sign up for more like this at the Newton Patch Newsletter)
Adam Kube, formerly of Bastille Kitchen, has taken over as executive chef. Kube first entertained the idea of becoming a chef during extended visits with his aunt and grandmother who kept him and his siblings busy by letting them help cook. He attributes this early introduction to growing up to become a chef, he says.
