Newton City Website Hacked: Report
The website was up and running Monday after a hack was discovered late in the weekend.

NEWTON, MA – Newton's city website was hacked over the weekend, causing city officials to take it down for a brief period of time.
According to a WCVB report, the site was pulled down after the hack was uncovered, and visitors attempting to access it received an error message.
In a statement published by the network, Newton Mayor Setti Warren said a city employee discovered the hack Sunday afternoon, and police are looking at the incident to determine if further investigation is warranted.

The website, "newtonma.gov," was back online Monday.
