Newton Country Day School Gets New Athletic Facility
Developer Erland Construction recently completed the 47,000-square-foot building on the Centre Street campus.

NEWTON, MA – Construction of a new athletic facility was recently completed at Newton Country Day School.
The 47,000-square-foot Kathleen R. Martin Wellness Center was built by Burlington developers Erland Construction. It was the company's second venture at the Loren Towle Estate, following a library addition to the mansion nine years ago.
Designed by Somerville firm D'Agostino-Izzo Quirk, the new four-story edifice is built into the hillside adjacent to the school's playing fields and boasts a gymnasium with two full basketball courts, multiple squash courts, indoor rowing practice facility, dance studio, fitness room, locker rooms, training rooms and classrooms.
