Newton Grad Gives Dartmouth Valedictorian Speech
'Make good decisions,' he told the Class of 2018, a lesson he said he learned from his dad in Newton.

NEWTON, MA — A Newton North High School graduate was one of Dartmouth College's four valedictorians for the Class of 2018, and gave a speech at the school after actor Mindy Kaling took the same stage.
Nicholas Norwitz graduated Sunday, June 10, in Hanover, N.H. with a biology major and plans to pursue a PhD at the University of Oxford’s department of physiology, anatomy, and genetics before attending Harvard Medical School.
“What I’ve come to appreciate most of all over these past four years is that it is not about just making good decisions; you need to be provided with the opportunities to make those decisions,” Norwitz told his classmates.
