Newton Memorial Day Parade: What To Know
Parking is free on Memorial Day. And the parade is the day before. Here are the details:

NEWTON, MA — The sun may not make a grand appearance Sunday, but so far it doesn't look like there will be any raining on the annual Newton Memorial Day Parade. Each year the Veteran's Services Department puts together a parade, complete with music and activities for the little ones the day before actual Memorial Day.
This year's Newton Memorial Day Parade will be held Sunday May 27. The parade begins at 3 p.m. at Newton North High School (457 Walnut St.) and will travel north on Walnut Street, taking a right on Watertown Street and ending at Magni-Coletti Park.

As always, the mayor will be on hand, as will the music and stilt walkers.
