Newton Police: Boiler System Stolen From Home on Highland

Incidents, Sunday, April 26

  • A resident came into headquarters to report a larceny from his home on Highland Street. He had been renovating his home, and that on this day, he was home and noticed his Buderus system gone from the basement and the attic. There are two systems, including copper piping and wiring, missing.
  • Police responded to the Crown Plaza for a report of past larceny. A woman said her bracelet was stolen from her hotel room sometime between 10 a.m. and 9:30 p.m. She checked in to the hotel on April 25. There are no safes in the rooms. She said her bracelet was in a small travel purse placed in her suitcase, which was unlocked and unzipped. She said maintenance was in her room on that evening to fix the TV and that the cleaning crew also cleaned her room. The bracelet is a silver Pandora with 6 silver and gold charms.
