Newton Police: Man Arrested After Allegedly Hitting Another Car in Boston, Taking Off, and Driving Erratically Through Newton

Saturday, April 11

Police issued a BOLO for an erratic vehicle, a black pickup truck traveling up Centre Street toward Newton Centre, and hit guardrails after getting off the Mass. Pike. It was also reported that the vehicle was involved in an accident in Boston and that the other motorist was still following the vehicle. Police spotted the pickup truck going southbound on Centre Street as well as the driver behind the truck repeatedly flashing his lights and waving his arms out the window to get the attention of the police. Alexander Paul Humphreys, 26, 429 Bedford St., Lakeville, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct after a disturbance on the scene of a stop.
