Newton Police: Man Yells at Parents, Man Passes Out in Street: Both Had Arrest Warrants

Plus, a construction trailer was broken into overnight.

On May 14, numerous units responded to the area of Linden Street for a loud noise complaint of a man yelling in the streets. There was an active default warrant (for receiving stolen property more than $250) out for this man’s arrest. Cameron Adams Lefevre, 22, 43 Linden St., Newton, was placed into custody.

Also on May 14, police were dispatched to a report of a drunk man who was lying in the street in front of Waltham Street. When officers spoke to him on the sidewalk, he identified himself, and when he stood up, was unsteady, his speech was slurred and he had trouble standing without swaying. Warrants came back, with one for trespassing and the other for shoplifting. Omar Oviedo, 47, homeless, was arrested.

On May 13, police responded to a past breaking and entering into a car on Pearl Street.

On May 13, police responded to Sargent Street for a report of a breaking and entering into a construction trailer. The reporting person said that he and his workers left the previous day around 4 p.m. and locked the trailer before leaving. When he arrived in the morning, the locks had been cut and numerous items were stolen.
