Newton Police: Multiple Car Breaks; Stolen Toyota Camry

Incidents, Friday, April 24
- Police responded to Jasset Street for a report of a stolen motor vehicle. The owner said that sometime between 9 p.m. and 7 a.m. overnight, someone stole her brown 2008 Toyota Camry. It was in the driveway, unlocked, with her keys and purse on the floor.
- Police responded to Charlesbank Road for a report of three break-ins to cars. Police met with the person who called and said that the vehicles were left unlocked, and they were entered sometime between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m. Nothing was reported stolen.
- At 10:54 a.m., police responded to Jasset Street for a report of a break-in to a motor vehicle. The owner said that at some point overnight, her unlocked vehicle was entered. $8 from the console and $50 from a pocket behind the driver’s seat was missing.
- A resident came to the lobby to report a past B&E to her car. She said that sometime overnight, her unlocked car was parked in front of Faxon Street and had been entered. $20 in cash was taken, along with an Apple iPod.
- A resident of Beech Street came into the lobby to report a past B&E to his motor vehicle. It was reported that sometime overnight, the owner’s car had been broken into, and a laptop computer, a pair of BlueBlocker sunglasses were taken.
