Newton Police: Package Stolen, and Another Open One Left In Its Place
The following was supplied by the Newton Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

On March 30, at approximately 7:40 a.m., a woman came to 1321 Washington St. to bail out a prisoner. That person, Meredith Teufel, 29, 2 Neponset St., Walpole, had a warrant out of Quincy Court for unlicensed operation and failure to yield.
On March 30, a complainant said that someone entered the home on March 28 during the night and took 15 power tools.
On March 30, police responded to Moffat Road for a report of a stolen FedEx package from the front porch. The person stated that she ordered a package on Amazon and it was delivered by FedEx. She said when she came home around 1:45 p.m., she saw the package on the porch. She left it there because she had to leave quickly. When she got home around 6 p.m., she noticed it was missing and in its place was a different package that was opened and empty inside.
