Newton Police: Person's House Egged Where an Arrest Happened Recently
The following was supplied by the Newton Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Incidents, April 27
- Police responded to Devonshire Road for a report of an alarm. When police got there, they found the front door of Devonshire unlocked. They checked the perimeter of the property and found the rear porch door had the glass smashed in. When they entered the home, a loud alarm sounded. There was a brick in the dining room area that had been used to break into the rear door. A silver colored piece of jewelry was at the base of the main stairs, and the master bedroom had jewelry strewn across the floor. The homeowner arrived and went through the house with police. The jewelry was taken from the top drawer of the bureau.
- A report of illegal dumping came in from Cloverdale Road. When police got there, the caller directed them to the back yard of her house, where clay and concrete blocks were scattered about her yard.
- Police responded to Kendrick Street for a report of vandalism to a residence. Resident stated that he had just returned from being out of town for four days and came home on to find eggs on the front of his home. He estimated that about five eggs had been thrown at the front of the home. He wanted this incident documented because a few weeks prior, a man was arrested by Boston Police on his back deck.
