Newton Police: Stolen Bottle of Hennessy, Recycling Barrel; 1 Arrest

Incidents, April 10
- A resident of Countryside Road called to report that he went to watch TV and realized his cable was not working. He notified Verizon, the tech informing him that the cable going to his home had been cut at the telephone pole in front of the house.
- Police responded to Wegmans on Boylston Street for a past shoplifting. Loss prevention said that a black female was seen on surveillance stealing a $35 bottle of Hennessey on April 9 at 9 p.m.
- A woman came in to police headquarters to report that her Newton recycling barrel was missing.
- Police monitored the intersection of Willow Street and Centre Street, and spotted a car go through a stop sign without stopping. Police pulled the driver over. Richard W. Leblanc, 39, 5 Myrtle St., Saugus, had a default warrant out of Dedham District Court for failing to pay court fines. He was placed under arrest and issued a citation.
