Newton Puts Hold on Overnight Parking Restrictions for Thanksgiving
There will be no restrictions on Thanksgiving Eve and Thanksgiving Day.

NEWTON, MA – The Newton Police Department is throwing residents a huge (turkey) bone this Thanksgiving, announcing Tuesday that there will be no overnight parking restrictions for the upcoming holiday.
The ban will not be enforced on Thanksgiving Eve and Thanksgiving Day, the department said.
The all-night ban began Nov. 15 and runs until April 15. During that time, any vehicle, other than an emergency vehicle, is prohibited from parking on any street, way, highway, road, parkway or private way that is dedicated or open to the use of the public for more than an hour between 2 and 6 a.m.
