Aron Ain of Newton was awarded an Honorary Fellowship at the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology for his commitment to the Technion and Israel, as well as his business, civic and philanthropic achievements.
He is the immediate past president of the American Technion Society (ATS) New England Region, and a graduate of the ATS regional and national leadership training programs. Together with his wife Susan he established the Aron and Susan Ain Scholarship Fund at the Technion, and has supported the Technion-Rambam Functional Brain Imaging Facility at the Technion Medical School, an ATS regional project.
Mr. Ain is CEO of Kronos Inc., a global enterprise software company that promotes workforce management, and is regarded as a pioneer in the field. He was named Entrepreneur of the Year in 2012 by Ernst & Young.
In addition to the ATS, Mr. Ain holds leadership positions at the Boston Federation and the Boston AJC, and is a past president of Jewish Family Service of Metrowest. He is the chairman of the Board of Trustees of MetroWest Medical Center, and serves as a member of the Board of Trustees of his alma mater, Hamilton College. He is also involved with the Massachusetts Technology Leadership Council and the Massachusetts High Technology Council.
