NEWTON, MA – The State Primary is Thurs., Sep. 8. Here's what you need to know about voting in Newton.

Who can I vote for?

There are five races on the Democratic ballot, three of which are uncontested. The other two are the 3rd District Councillor race (Marilyn M. Petitto Devaney, Peter Georgiou and William Bishop Humphrey) and Middlesex County Sheriff race (Peter Koutoujian and Barry Kelleher).

There is one Republican on the ballot: David A. Rosa for 4th Middlesex District Representative in Congress.
