BREAKING: Here's how Newton voted in the 2016 Primaries.

NEWTON, MA – Today was the State Primary in Massachusetts, and while several candidates ran unopposed, there were a few key races.

In Newton, there were five races on the Democratic ballot, three of which were uncontested. There was one Republican on the ballot.

WILLIAM B HUMPHREY - 2207, 57.28 percent

Sheriff

PETER J KOUTOUJIAN - 3372, 90.40 percent

BARRY S KELLEHER - 346, 9.28 percent
