Newton Woman Charged with OUI New Year's Morning; 3 Charged in Bloomingdale's Theft After Suspect Waves at Officer; Vehicle Break-Ins on Fuller Avenue

Wed., Dec. 31
- Two vehicles were broken into on Fuller Avenue.
- Following a report of shoplifting at Bloomingdale’s, a police officer stopped a vehicle on Boylston Street after a passenger waved at him. The officer found several items of clothes with tags on them and bags of marijuana. Three people were charged: Riccara McKinney, 19, of West Roxbury, was charged with unlicensed operation, number plate violation, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle; Calvin Finch, 53, of Boston, was charged with larceny over $250 and receiving stolen property over $250; and Rachel Olivier, 23, of Everett, was charged with larceny over $250, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, and receiving stolen property over $250. Olivier also had a warrant out for her arrest.
Thur., Jan. 1
- An officer responded to a single-car crash on Nevada Street. The officer found a woman walking barefoot in broken glass. Her eyes were bloodshot and the officer said there was a “significant” odor of alcohol. Lisa Caira, 34, of Newton, was charged with OUI and a lane violation.
