Driving under the influence
A 41-year-old woman from Newton was cited for driving under the influence of drugs after she was involved with an accident on Wednesday at the intersection of Washington Street and Church Street.Â
Police said the woman had slurred speech and glassy eyes. She was treated by medics and transported to .Â

Domestic incident leads to arrest
A Newton man was arrested Wednesday after police responded to Dalby Street for a reported domestic dispute, reports said.

Joseph Gerard Caira, 54, of 62 Dalby St., was arrested for domestic assault and battery, police said.Â
Man arrested after kicking in a door
A Roslindale man was arrested Wednesday after police received a call for a male party who had kicked in a door, reports said.
Michael Vincent Lowney, 21, of 153 Deforest St., was arrested for breaking and entering in the daytime for a felony and malicious destruction of property over $250, reports said.Â
Restraining order violation
A West Roxbury Man was arrested Wednesday after reports said he allegedly violated a restraining order.Â
Roger Leijie Xie, 41, of 248 Bellevue St., was arrested for violating a restraining order, police said.Â
Warrant arrest
A Newton woman was arrested Thursday on a warrant out of Newton District Court, reports said.
Christine M. McCade, 50, of 70 Cherry St. #1, was arrested on a default warrant for failure to appear, police sad.Â
Break-in suspect caught
A Sharon man was arrested Thursday after he was caught breaking into a home on Harwich Road, reports said.Â
Samuel Sobol, 24, of 95 Brook Road, was charged with possession of a Class B substance and breaking and entering in the daytime to commit a felony, police said.Â
Another warrant arrest
A Waltham man was arrested Friday after he turned himself in to the Waltham Police, reports said.Â
William J. Beers, 40, of 2003 Stearns Hill Road, was wanted on a warrant out of Newton District Court, police said.Â
House break-ins
- Botsford Road; sometime Thursday afternoon after 1:30 p.m., a resident said someone entered her house by forcing open the sliding glass door.
- Bemuth Road; sometime between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m on Tuesday, someone broke into a home and stole a MacBook Pro, an iPad, a digital camera, a Framingham State class ring, a white gold necklace, a diamond pendant, a diamond cross, change and a Mickey Mouse ring.
Car break-ins
- Spiers Road; sometime overnight Tuesday into Wednesday, someone broke into an unlocked car parked in a driveway. The contents to the glove compartment were on the floor, reports said.
- Considine Road; sometime overnight Tuesday into Wednesday, someone went through an unlocked car parked in a driveway.Â
- O'Rourke Path; sometime between 9 p.m. on Monday and 8 a.m. on Tuesday, someone broke into an unlocked car parked in a driveway.
- Spiers Road; sometime between 5 p.m. on Tuesday and 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, someone entered an unlocked car and rummaged through it, leaving the door ajar. There was no damage to the vehicle.Â
- Spiers Road; sometime between 5 p.m. on Tuesday and 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, someone entered an unlocked car and rummaged through it, leaving the door ajar. There was no damage to the vehicle.Â
- McCarthy Road;Â sometime between 7 p.m. on Monday (Nov. 14) and 10 a.m. on Wednesday, someone entered an unlocked car and rummaged through it, leaving the door ajar. There was no damage to the vehicle.
- Marvin Lane; sometime between 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday and 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday, someone entered a locked vehicle parked in a driveway.Â
