UPDATE: Police Search for Stolen Car That Had Dog Inside

A car was stolen that had a pet inside. There was a sighting of the dog on Thursday night.

Update: Missing Dogs Massachusetts reported that Pooh was seen on Thursday night around 8 p.m. in Roslindale on Sycamore Street outside of Roslindale Square.

Original post: Newton police are searching for the person allegedly responsible for a stolen car, and stolen dog.

Posted on flyers such as Missing Dogs Massachusetts, police say the vehicle was stolen from a driveway on Dedham Street in near the Newton line, which turns into Baker Street in West Roxbury.

Newton police confirmed that the car was owned by a dog walker who lived in Newton, and the car was stolen with Pooh the dog inside. 

The car is a dark blue Subaru Outback with a Thule cargo pod on the roof. The license plate number is 168 DC7.

Pooh, a 10 year old blonde shih tzu poodle mix, was inside the car.
