Powerful Book About Domestic Violence Launches in Newton
"No More Secrets" shares the story of six women who participated in a narrative healing group in Newton.

NEWTON, MA – A powerful new book sharing the stories of six women who experienced at the hands of their partners launched in Newton Thursday night.
"No More Secrets: Healing from Domestic Violence" is the story of six women -- Allison, Becca, Donna-Marie, Cecilia, Olive and Selma -- who come together at a narrative healing group at Newton domestic violence nonprofit The Second Step.
They decided to write "No More Secrets" to educate, inspire and offer hope to survivors, families and communities. The book has been applauded for how it tackles the subject of domestic abuse. Congressman Joe Kennedy III recently weighed in on its impact, saying:

By bravely sharing their stories, Allison, Becca, Donna-Marie, Cecilia, Olive and Selma speak to the strength of community in the most challenging times. Overcoming domestic violence requires each of us to support survivors and send them a resounding message that they will never be alone – this book does just that.
"No More Secrets" was launched last night at a ceremony in Newton, attended by Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan. She also had high praise for the book on Twitter Friday:
