Suspected Bank Robber Grabs Lollipop On His Way Out

Police said a man who robbed the TD Bank in Newton Centre succumbed to his sweet tooth during his getaway.

Or in one man's case - from a bank, along with an unspecified amount of money.

Police said a man who robbed the TD Bank in Newton Centre around 1 p.m. Saturday afternoon grabbed a lollipop as he fled the scene, CBS Boston reported.

Newton Police told the network the man passed a note to a clerk saying he had a weapon but did not display it.

He was reportedly wearing camouflage shorts, a dark hooded sweatshirt and a baseball hat with an American flag on it. After indulging his sweet tooth, he ran down Pleasant Street, according to CBS Boston.
