Whiz Kid: From South Stage to Boston Stage

Accomplishment:  Jessica Dagg is part of the Ensemble in the Boston Children's Theatre production of To Kill a Mockingbird.  

Key to Awesomeness:  Jessica Dagg is a Newton student with a flair for theater. Aside from her upcoming role in To Kill a Mockingbird, Jessica has played a Bird Girl in Seussical with Boston Children's Theatre, an orphan in Annie at Wheelock Family Theatre and has starred in two productions at Newton South High School.

To Kill a Mockingbird features 35 performers from 30 New England communities, according to a press release issued by the Boston Children's Theatre.

To Kill a Mockingbird opens on May 7 and runs through May 15 at the Boston Center for the Arts' Calderwood Pavilion with public performances on the weekends and school performances during the week. According to the release, Dagg will be performing for Academy Award nominee Mary Badham, who will be attending the opening night performance. Badham played the character of Scout in the 1962 film starring Gregory Peck.
