Wicked Cool Vet School

Animal lovers are urged to grab a lab coat to learn about all the furry, fishy and flying creates of the world.

Newton Community Education offers Wicked Cool Vet School, starting Aug. 24, at Newton South High School.

Students must be in at least first grade and no higher than fourth grade.

In this class, make animal models with big bones, investigate intestines from vertebrates, dissect an owl pellet and experience live animal visits that include tips on animal care and keeping pets healthy.

This class is 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Aug. 28.

Tuition is $365.
