ā¢ West Springfield theater to stage Shays' Rebellion play (wwlp.com) ā A new play about Shaysā Rebellion, which heavily involved Northampton farmers, is being developed at the Majestic Theater in West Springfield with a $15,000 NEA grant. The production will explore the perspectives of people in towns like Northampton, Springfield, and Great Barrington as part of the nationās 250th anniversary celebrations, and playwrights are currently being sought to create the script.
