2020 North Andover Town Census Mailed Out
Returning the census keeps you an active voter.
NORTH ANDOVER, MA — North Andover's annual census has been mailed out, the town announced Friday. Residents are asked to return the form within 10 days of receiving it. It can be mailed back, dropped off in person at the Town Clerk's office, or scanned and emailed to treid@northandoverma.gov.
The annual census is required by Massachusetts law. You must return it to remain an "active voter." According to the state secretary of state, without active voter status, you will have to show ID and fill out an "affirmation of current and continuous residence," when voting. The identification does not need to include a photo.
The annual census is also used by the town when applying for state and federal grants, and for school enrollment projections. Residents with questions about the town census are encouraged to call the Town Clerk’s office at 978-688-9501.
