Why are you seeking elective office?
To participate in our community and bring my experience as a new perspective to our town government.
The single most pressing issue facing our (board, district, etc.) is _______, and this is what I intend to do about it.
Over-development and increased taxes. I plan to bring thoughtful discussion focused on the long term sustainability of our decisions to avoid negative consequences in the future.
What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
My background in finance is a huge asset for thoughtful long term financial planning and my extensive work on numerous bi-partisan organizations show a tremendous ability to work with others, successfully. The boards, non-profit and professional affiliations that I have led or been instrumental in the success of, has demonstrated that working together through differences can accomplish much success for any organization or town government.
If you are a challenger, in what way has the current board or officeholder failed the community (or district or constituency)
Simple communication and ease of doing business. Government works for the people, period. People need to feel listened to.
Describe the other issues that define your campaign platform
Fiscal responsibility
Thoughtful development with long term sustainability at the forefront
Ease of doing business in our town & listening to the taxpayers
Work towards diverse and developed new businesses to our community that offers so much
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
I have successfully started my own business and became a top financial firm north of Boston with a team of professionals. Determination, hard work and a positive attitude are essential for any venture to be successful. I work with people of many different backgrounds, philosophies and values, yet manage to stay on track to achieve a common goal.
My years working for numerous candidates and my time on the State Committee has given me an inside look at how government works and just how important it is to work respectfully towards a common goal.
Working in town government successfully requires a skill. That skill is to work well with people. In all aspects of my professional career, political involvement and numerous charitable engagements, I have epitomized working well with others and having fun along the way. For North Andover to succeed over the coming years, that is a skill we need on our Board of Selectmen.
What else would you like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
I am a husband and father raising my kids with yours in our community. I am passionate about preserving our community for what we love about it and want to see our town make the right decisions for our future and our kids future.
