About Rhythmic Gymnastics To Come To Middleton!

After 10 years of providing quality rhythmic gymnastics and dance training in surrounding areas, this fall North East Rhythmics is ecstatic to finally be settling into a place of their own in Middleton, MA! N.E.R. began in 2006 with the goals of creating a school that would provide the highest quality of training for all levels, in a challenging and encouraging environment. Rhythmic gymnastics is an Olympic sport that combines the flexibility and dynamics of gymnastics, the elegance and rhythm of ballet, self expression of dance combined with the handling of small equipment such as ribbon, ball, rope, hoop and clubs. Under the careful instruction of Program Director and head coach, Ralitsa Kalmukova the school has successfully seen tremendous growth, leading to the decision to relocate to a more appropriate facility just over the North Andover line, in Middleton. "We are so excited for this opportunity and to be able to share rhythmic gymnastics with the community!" says Ms. Kalmukova. "It has taken years of hard work to get to this point and we are excited to be able to provide our gymnasts the ability to train in what will be an amazing facility".

Over those years of hard work North East Rhythmics has produced several regional and national champions including the current Junior Olympic National Champion, Baifan Zhou (pictured) and former champion Samantha Lee of Andover. The school not only gives students the ability to compete locally, but also sees the value is training in other major cities and countries. To broaden training opportunities the school often arranges trips to train & compete in places such as Bulgaria, Canada, Puerto Rico and this summer they will head off to France!

North East Rhythmics will be offering recreational and competitive programs in both rhythmic gymnastics and dance for every level student. The school will also be offering open to the public, Stretch & Conditioning classes for all local community programs/students who would like to supplement their current sports. The open sessions are a great option for artistic gymnasts, dancers, cheerleaders, divers and more!
