Eleven Students Selected for Northeastern Junior District Music Festival

The following was submitted by the North Andover Music Association.

Ten students and one student have been selected to participate in the Massachusetts Northeastern Junior District Music Festival.

After auditions in January of 974 students from more than 95 public and private schools, 436 students from grades seven through nine were selected to participate in this prestigious Music Educators Association event.

The program is offered by the M.M.E.A. as an enrichment opportunity, providing a musical experience to talented young people. The students were selected to perform in the Junior District Orchestra, Band, Girls Chorus and Boys Chorus.  They will practice with guest conductors and perform a concert on March 17 at Lowell High School.
