Free Alzheimer's Talk & Open House

As part of Alzheimer's Disease Awareness Month The Meadows at Edgewood Retirement Community is hosting a free talk on Alzheimer's advancements and caregiving from Geriatric Psychiatrist Dr. Robert Portney.  Dr. Portney has been a Faculty Member at Harvard Medical School for over 25 years and is on Staff at Mass General Hospital and McLean Hospital.   

Prior Dr. Portney's talk, event attendees will enjoy refreshments and hors d'oeuvres as they tour the Meadows at Edgewood highlighting:

  • The Adult Social Day Program which is now open to the public and provides daytime social, health and recreation services for seniors 62 and older.
  • The Rokous Clinic which brings wellness services to Edgewood's independent living residents.
  • The Meadows Rehabilitation Center which employs the most innovative therapies, techniques and equipment to help seniors get back to independent living more quickly and safely after a hospitalization, injury or illness.
  • The Garden View, a new, leading-edge program and specially designed resident building focusing on providing physical, emotional and social well being for seniors with memory impairments from Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, Multiple Sclerosis, Depression, Stroke and other Dementia-related health issues.
