Native Plants for Your Garden

The North Andover Garden Club and the Methuen Garden Club present “Native Plants for your Garden” with Scott Lafleur, on April 10, 2012, 7:00 pm at the First United Methodist Church, Peters St., North Andover.  Scott is the Horticulture Director and Curator of the Garden in the Woods at the New England Wildflower Society in Framingham. The Society owns and operates Garden in the Woods, the largest landscaped collection of wildflowers in the Northeast, as its headquarters and as a public botanic garden. The Garden, located in Framingham, MA, serves as New England's premier showcase of native plants and as a center for botanical and horticultural study and enjoyment. Learn which perennial plants and grasses will look stunning in your suburban garden that will help support indigenous butterflies, birds and animals, and incidentally, be easier to grow and maintain because they’re native to this area!  For more information, email northandovergardenclub@yahoo.com or call Lisa at 978/689-9318 or Ginny at 978/208-7908.

The North Andover Garden Club, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, was founded in 1920 and whose mission is to further the civic beautification of North Andover, horticulture, flower arranging, and conservation.  With an excellent array of programs and activities from September to June, the garden club offers hands-on workshops and monthly programs, which are free and open to all.
