The "Flamingo Flocks" have landed!
North Andover Women's Club Flies Flocks For Funds; NAHS Senior Scholarship Program Gains Capital Infusion Courtesy of Pesky Pink Birds
The North Andover Women’s Club, with sponsorship and support from North Andover-based Berkshire Hathaway (BHHS) Verani Realty, this weekend kicked off an annual fundraising effort, uniquely marked by the arrival of a flocks of hot pink flamingos.

To raise funds for the North Andover Women’s Club (NAWC) scholarship fund, parceled to selected graduating seniors from North Andover High School, the colorful flock made its first appearance on Saturday, April 28, and will continue to fly from one unsuspecting North Andover location to another through May 25, 2018.

To fly a 12-member flock, interested participants need only call the Berkshire Hathaway Verani North Andover office, where the flock is organized for a brief rest, drink of water, and necessary sustenance. With a minimum donation of $25, a flock will be scheduled to fly anywhere within the confines of the Town of North Andover. Flights last 48 hours, during which hosts are asked to feed the flock. Flamingo food is delivered with each flock to ensure all flamingos are fed appropriately during their flights.
To arrange a flight for a friend or family member, call Stephanie at 978.475.4411 (M-F from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.). After hour requests can be arranged by calling Rosemary Smedile at 978-689-2949.

As Mother’s Day is on the horizon, “fly a flock” crews have added unique options for participants. Celebratory Mother’s Day flocks can be sent for $40. “Super Flocks” (30 flamingos total) can be scheduled for $75, and for an additional $25, festive wear and decorations can be added. “Fly a Flock” delivers a unique way of saying “Happy Birthday” or “Congratulations” to newlyweds, new parents, graduates, new home owners, brides-to-be, and more.
North Andover Town Selectwoman Rosemary Smedile, who heads the North Andover Women’s Club said, “Whether organizing a fashion show, ladies shopping night or flights of flamingos, our organization is focused on strengthening our town. North Andover is a wonderful place to reside and anything we can do to infuse a greater sense of community only makes us stronger. Keep an eye out as the next flight of flamingos may end up on your lawn!”

“As a member of the North Andover Women’s Club for more than three years, the “Fly a Flock” campaign felt like the perfect way to connect Berkshire Hathaway Verani with our local community,” said BHHS Verani realtor and NAWC member, Stephanie Jones. “We are so excited to sponsor this campaign which will hopefully bring both springtime smiles and fiscal support for our town’s young adults.”
