Off the Grid Mondays at Salvatore's Restaurants

WHAT: There is such a thing as a free lunch! Salvatore’s Restaurants, the modern Italian restaurant group with five locations in Massachusetts, is offering its guests free food if they can part with their smartphones long enough to enjoy a meal.

Beginning Monday, October 20th, 2014 all of the restaurant’s five locations will offer a buy one entrée, get one free deal every Monday from 12:00PM – 3:00PM if diners turn in their tech at the host stand. “The idea came to us from one of our general managers Denise Baker who noticed people were literally not speaking to each other while dining. We like the idea of promoting people returning to the basic concept of sharing a meal untethered from emails, texts and calls,” said Sal Lupoli, owner of Salvatore’s Restaurants. Every diner in a party must agree to turn over their devices before being seated. The phones will be tagged and bagged and returned when the diner finishes their meal. Those dining alone are still eligible with a 50% discount on Off the Grid Mondays if they join the revolution.
