Heads-Up: Changes To MBTA Late Night Service

Changes are coming to MBTA Late Night Service on Friday and Saturday nights at the end of the month. After closely monitoring ridership levels for the year-long Late Night Service pilot program, the MBTA is implementing a schedule that will continue to offer service when demand is greatest.

The Late Night Service changes take effect on Saturday night/Sunday morning, June 27/28:

• Last subway trains will depart downtown stations at approximately 2:00AM on Friday andSaturday nights; this is also the latest time to make connections between subway lines.
• The five least productive Late Night bus routes will be eliminated: 15, 22, 71, 73, 77.
• Frequency on all other bus routes and rail lines will be reduced.

Here’s a specific rundown of what changes to expect and where, via MassDOT:

Red Line

Last Red Line train from Alewife to Ashmont will depart at1:49AM on Friday and Saturday nights.

Last Red Line train from Braintree will depart at 1:29AM on Friday and Saturday nights.

Last Red Line train from Ashmont will depart at 1:46AM on Friday and Saturday nights.

Blue Line

Last Blue Line train from Wonderland will depart at 1:40AM on Friday and Saturday nights.

Last Blue Line train from Bowdoin will depart at 2:05AM on Friday and Saturday nights.

Orange Line

Last Orange Line train from Oak Grove will depart at 1:49AMon Friday and Saturday nights.

Last Orange Line train from Forest Hills will depart at 1:45AMon Friday and Saturday nights.

Green Line

Last Green Line train from Boston College will depart at1:30AM on Friday and Saturday nights.

Last Green Line train from Cleveland Circle will depart at1:10AM on Friday and Saturday nights.

Last Green Line train from Riverside will depart at 1:05AM on Friday and Saturday nights.

Last Green Line train from Heath Street will depart at 2:04AMon Friday and Saturday nights.

Last Green Line train from Lechmere will depart at 1:59AM on Friday and Saturday nights.

Mattapan Line

Last Mattapan Line trolley will depart from Mattapan at 2:08AMon Friday and Saturday nights.

Last Mattapan Line trolley will depart from Ashmont at 2:20AMon Friday and Saturday nights.

Route 1

Last inbound trip will depart Harvard Square at 2:20 am and last outbound trip will depart Dudley Station at 2:10 am.

Route 15

Last inbound trip will depart Fields Corner at12:30 am and last outbound trip will depart Ruggles Station at 1:00 am.

Route 22

Last inbound trip will depart Ashmont at 12:55 am and last outbound trip will depart Ruggles Station at 1:00 am.

Route 23

Last inbound and outbound trips will depart Ashmont Station and Ruggles Station at 2:20 am.

Route 28

Last inbound trip to Dudley Station will depart Mattapan Station at 2:20 am and last outbound trip will depart Ruggles Station at2:10 am.

Route 32

Last outbound trip from Forest Hills will depart at 2:00AM, and last inbound trip from Wolcott Sq will depart at 2:17AM.

Route 39

Last inbound trip from Forest Hills will depart at 2:00AM, and last outbound trip from Back Bay will depart at 2:25AM.

Route 57

Last inbound trip will depart Watertown Yard at 1:50 am and last outbound trip will depart Kenmore at 2:15 am.

Route 66

Last inbound trip on Friday and Saturday nights will depart Woodlawn at 1:35AM, and last outbound trip will depart Haymarket at 2:00AM.

Route 116/117

Last outbound trip (Route 116) will depart Maverick Station at2:00 am and last inbound trip (Route 117) will depart Wonderland at 1:30 am.

Silver Line Waterfront

Last inbound trip will depart Logan Terminal A at 1:55 am and last outbound trip to Silver Line Way will depart South Station at2:00 am.

Silver Line Washington Street (Route SL 5)

Last inbound trip will depart Dudley Station at 1:45 am and last outbound trip (Route SL5) will depart Temple Place at 2:00 am.
