Knights Move on to North Final

After four matches the scorebook read: North Andover 2, Cambridge 2. Everyone crowded around the fence to watch the dramatic finish to the first singles match, and, for the home fans at least, they would not be disappointed. 

Junior Mike Terranova battled back from one set down to win the match 3-6, 7-5, 6-4, in the sweltering heat to send the Scarlet Knights to their first sectional final in six years.

Junior Sherwin Yamin extended his winning streak to seven matches with a 6-1, 6-3 victory at second singles.

The tandem of sophomore Andrew Smith and freshman Kyle White took second doubles 6-4, 6-3.

Up next for North Andover is a date with top-seeded Winchester this afternoon at 3:30 at the Billerica Boys and Girls Club with the North Sectional championship on the line.
