I had a great morning at the Lawrence Democratic City Committee’s 1st Annual Brunch. I’m excited to say that I received over 64% of the vote in their straw poll! Thank you to the Lawrence Dems for their faith in me.
More important, I was so proud to be part of an event which honored my Treasurer, Phyllis Tyler, with surprise recognition as the Lawrence Democrat of the Year. What made this extra amazing is that the Lawrence DCC has decided to name this award in honor of Phyllis - a testament to Phyllis’s hard work and a reminder that I am only one of many, many Democrats who she has mentored, guided, and believed in. Not one, but two standing ovations. Congratulations Phyllis!!
