Man Who Shot Up Wife's Car In North Andover Held Without Bail
On Tuesday a judge ordered David Shuman, 27, of Tewksbury, following a dangerousness hearing.

NORTH ANDOVER, MA -- The man who fired 11 bullets into the side of his estranged wife car while it was parked in the driveway of her North Andover home was order held without bail Tuesday. David Shuman, 27, of Tewksbury, was arrested by North Andover Police last Wednesday and charged with carrying a loaded gun without a license, discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a building, assault with a dangerous weapon, and destruction of property.
During Tuesday's dangerousness hearing, a judge ordered Shuman to remain in custody. Shuman allegedly shot up the Aston Martin after his estranged wife posted on Facebook that she was pregnant. The wife, who has not lived with Shuman for several months, appeared at Tuesday's hearing. Patch does not publish the names of domestic abuse victims.
As first reported by Patch, police responded to a call from Coventry Lane at about 1:30 pm Wednesday. As Officer Thomas Driscoll was driving to the residence, he saw a car matching the description of the vehicle given by the woman who called police. Driscoll followed the car until backup arrived, then pulled Shuman over at the Andover bypass. State Police assisted North Andover Police in the felony vehicle stop.

North Andover Police declined comment because the case involves alleged domestic violence. Shuman was pleaded not guilty Thursday in Lawrence District Court.
