North Andover Police Arrest Man Who Shot Up Estranged Wife's Car
The man allegedly shot 11 rounds into the side of the woman's car after finding out she was pregnant.

NORTH ANDOVER, MA -- Police arrested a man Wednesday who fired a gun 11 times into the side of his estranged wife's car and then fled the scene. David Shuman, 27, of Tewksbury was allegedly outraged after learning the woman was pregnant.
According to court records, police responded to a call from Coventry Lane at about 1:30 pm Wednesday. As Officer Thomas Driscoll was driving to the residence, he saw a car matching the description of the vehicle given by the woman who called police. Driscoll followed the car until backup arrived, then pulled Shuman over at the Andover bypass. State Police assisted North Andover Police in the felony vehicle stop.
North Andover Police declined comment because the case involves alleged domestic violence. Shuman was arraigned Wednesday in Lawrence District Court.
