Documentary on Assistant Dean's Struggle With AL Amyloidosis Takes Prize For Television Show - Informational

The Massachusetts School of Law (MSLAW) took home a Clarion award in the “Television Show Informational - Local or Regional” category.
“A Journey Through a Stem Cell Transplant” centered on the personal struggle of Diane Sullivan, MSLAW’s Assistant Dean, with AL Amyloidosis, a rare hematological disorder. The episode includes detailed conversations, with Dr. David Seldin MD, Chief of Hematology and Oncology at BU Medical Center, and Dr. Vaishali Sanchorawala MD, Clinical Director of the stem cell transplantation program at BU Medical Center. Diane, the doctors and her family discuss the treatment process, as well as the importance of early diagnosis.
Diane M Sullivan served as producer and host of the show. Kathryn Villare was producer, director, and editor. Pamela Sinton-Coffman-Camera also received camera credits. The show originally aired on November 9, 2013.
