Merrimack Women’s Soccer Vaults to Number 18 in NSCAA National Poll

The women’s soccer team earned the #18 slot in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) National Poll. The Warriors own a 4-0-0 overall record with a 2-0-0 mark in the Northeast-10 Conference.
Merrimack has claimed victories over Molloy, Dowling, Adelphi and New Haven this fall.
Danielle Dion of North Grosvenordale, Conn., leads the team with six points on a pair of goals and two assists. Jenn Pino of North Andover and Katie Bresciani of Hopedale are tied for second with five points with two tallies and a helper each.

Kiley Horne of Scituate has started all four matches in goal this season and sports a 0.54 goals-against average. She has recorded a pair of clean sheets this fall.
Jessica Peacock of Hopedale and Horne were both recognized by the Northeast-10 Conference with weekly honors. Peacock was tabbed the Defensive Player of the Week while Horne garnered Goalkeeper of the Week.

Last season, the Warriors reached as high as number 16 in the national rankings.
Merrimack continues Northeast-10 Conference play as it looks to remain unbeaten on the year when it travels to take on Saint Anselm Sept. 14.
