National Grid Projects, Budget On North Andover Select Board Agenda

National Grid utility requests, the town manager's FY27 budget, and a restaurant license are on the upcoming meeting's agenda.

NORTH ANDOVER, MA — The North Andover Select Board is scheduled to meet Monday, Feb. 9, with a full agenda that includes multiple public hearings related to utility infrastructure projects across town, along with a first look at the town manager’s recommended Fiscal Year '27 budget.

Several requests from Massachusetts Electric Company, doing business as National Grid, will be considered, including proposals to install or relocate poles, wires, and fixtures along Parker Street, Greene Street, Linden Avenue, Foster Street, and Johnson Street. Many of the items are paired with votes following public hearings.

The board will also review a request from Eversource to excavate Massachusetts Avenue and Linden Street in order to replace a regulator station.

In other business, the town manager is expected to present the recommended Fiscal Year '27 budget to the board. The agenda does not indicate whether a vote will be taken at this meeting.

The Select Board will also consider a request from the Poet Laureate Committee to use the Town Common on May 2, with a rain date of May 9, for the Anne Bradstreet Poetry Contest Award Day.

Licensing items include an application for a common victualler license for Grill 166 at 166 Sutton St.

The meeting begins at 7 p.m. in the Select Board Room at Town Hall. Public comment will be limited to 15 minutes.
