North Andover Chorus Students Perform in 2019 MMEA Festival
Several North Andover 5th and 6th grade students were selected to participate in the MMEA NE District Treble Chorus Festival in March.
North Andover Middle School 6th grade students; Mia Bono, Amelia Chicoree, Joanna Beya, Katherine Beck, and Christina Jamieson, and Thomson Elementary 5th grade students; Naomi Herold, Kyle Trombly, Aaliyah Ventura, and Natalia Licciardi performed in the 2019 MMEA Northeastern District Treble Chorus Festival on Saturday, March 23rd.
Chosen to participate by NAMS Music Teacher, Andrea Liacos, and Thomson Music Teacher, Donna Dragosits, the North Andover students joined with peers from throughout the Northeast District for two rehearsals and the festival concert held at NAMS this year.
The Massachusetts Music Educators Association has provided this opportunity, now in its 3rd year, for selected students to gain experience and develop their skills under the direction of MMEA clinicians and music educators. The Treble Chorus Festival is open to 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students who have demonstrated a strong interest in singing.
