North Andover Offers Help For Residents Cleaning Up Storm Damage

The town released information for residents looking to get rid of fallen limbs and branches this spring.

NORTH ANDOVER, MA -- Cold weather isn;t the only lingering reminder of the harsh winter weather in North Andover. Residents are using the longer days to clean up storm damage, including fallen limbs, branches and sticks from winter storms that blew through the area. As a result, the North Andover Department of Public Works has scheduled several events for residents looking to clear debris from their property:

  • Curbside Bundled Twigs and Branch collection – During the week of April 30th to May 4th, the Town will be conducting a special pickup of residential twig/branches up to 6” in diameter, bundled together with twine and not more than 4’ in length. Bundles must weigh 50 lbs or less and tied together with twine. Crews will be following the trash route schedule, therefore we ask that you place bundles curbside (separate from trash and recycling) on your normal trash day.
  • Curbside Leaf Bag collection – During the weeks of May 7th, May 14th and May 21st the Town will be conducting the annual spring curbside leaf bag collection. Crews will also follow the trash route schedule, therefore we ask that you place biodegradable bags out on your normal trash day.
  • Cyr Recycle Center – Cyr Recycle Center is open for the season. During the weeks of April 9th and April 16th, the facility will be open Monday through Saturday 8 am – 3 pm. The normal open weekly schedule of Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday 8 am – 3pm will resume on April 24th. Stickers are currently available at the Public Works Facility, 384 Osgood Street, however residents may use the facility without a sticker during the month of April, provided they have proof of residency. Stickers will be required for residential use after May 1st. Landscapers and Contractors must have a sticker to use the facility from the initial opening.
