North Andover Senior Property Tax Work Off Program
The North Andover Council on Aging/Senior Center will accept applications for the fiscal year 2019 Senior Property Tax Work Off Program.

Eligibility
To be eligible for this program you must:

- Be at least 60 years of age
- Own and occupy the property for which North Andover property taxes are paid
- Meet the minimum skills required for the assigned position
- Be able to start your assignment by August 1st, 2018.
- Provide your own transportation to the job site
- Must Complete 100 hours of work between August 1, 2018 and June 28, 2019. (Maximum work hours per week not to exceed 10 hours.)
Application Process
In addition, you must do the following:
- Provide your most recent property tax bill
- Authorize CORI clearance (if needed)
- Complete I-9 Form and OBRA Form (blank form is provided)
- Complete Parts A and B of the Senior Tax Relief Program application form
- If your real estate property taxes are taking more than 5% of your gross income you may be eligible for a scholarship slot. Please check YES on box # 4 in your application for further instructions.

- You must submit your application by Friday, July 6th, 2018 to be considered.
Selection of candidates
- If the number of applicants exceeds 50, the selection process will be made by lottery on July 20, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the North Andover Senior Center.
Benefit Limits
- Participants who complete all their 100 contracted hours by June 28, 2019 (no exception) will receive $1200.00 in a property tax abatement based on $11.00 per hour of service. This amount is considered taxable income.
- This will to be applied to your 2019 property taxes.
- A Medicare and OBRA payment will be deducted from your total tax abatement.
