RE/MAX of New England Races for the Cure and Raises $11,855 at Annual Susan G. Komen Massachusetts Race For The Cure®

Boston, MA – November 6, 2014 – RE/MAX of New England representatives, family and friends showed their support and helped raise $11,855 at the annual Susan G. Komen Massachusetts Race For The Cure® on Sunday, September 28th at DCR Carson Beach in South Boston.

24 Team RE/MAX members crossed the finish line along with 2,500 walkers, runners, and volunteers for the 5K race to help build awareness for breast cancer research, education, screening, and treatment. The RE/MAX of New England team, a regional sponsor for the Race For The Cure®, was co-captained Julie Scott of RE/MAX Leading Edge in the Greater Boston area and Stacy McNary of RE/MAX of New England.

“We are very excited that we were able to raise more than $11,000 for breast cancer education, screening, and outreach in Massachusetts,” said co-captain Julie Scott. “It was a true team effort, working all together to successfully raise the money and complete the race.”

“Giving back to the communities we serve is a very important part of our culture at RE/MAX of New England,” said Dan Breault, Executive Vice President and Regional Director of RE/MAX of New England. “I am so happy and proud that our Agents have taken the time to support Komen Mass. The money they have raised will support the organization’s work to reduce breast cancer in Massachusetts by funding education, screening and treatment programs.”
