North Andover Special Education Director Lauren Fain has been placed on administrative leave.
Superintendent Chris Hottel confirmed that Fain had been placed on administrative leave but would not disclose any reasons why. He did say he leave is temporary and that Fain is still the special education director.
There was nothing criminal reported. And while rumors circulate -- including speculation ranging from possible litigation to personnel issues and parental outrage over possible altering of individualized education plans (IEPs are mandated by the Americans With Disabilities Act) -- nothing has been substantiated.
