VIDEO: Legion Baseball Team Falls in Season Opener

The North Andover Senior Legion team took to the field in Lynn yesterday evening and fell 6-3 in their first game of the summer.

North Andover went up 3-0 with three runs in the third inning. Lynn got a pair of runs back in the bottom half of the inning to make it 3-2.

In the sixth, Lynn drew a walk and starter Mike Borzi was yanked in favor of , also known as the ace lefty for the North Andover High School squad.

Weisman, bound for Columbia University in the fall, got a quick pair of outs on a double play ball but then fall apart. He gave up back to back solo home runs.

Weisman then walked a batter and gave up a two run home run which made it 6-3 Lynn.

North Andover will look for its first win this evening at North Andover High School. Haverhill will be in town for a game starting at 6p.m.
