Algonquin Lacrosse Player Named All American: Heads to Districts This Weekend
Algonquin's Conor Healy is among players voted All American.
Conor Healy, senior at , was voted as the top C-Mass All-American for 2012 along with four other C-Mass players who also received this highly-regarded US Lacrosse Award.
"Conor is the most coach-able player that I have had since I took over the program in 2007," said his coach Rich Luongo. "He is a team player and always sets the example for all of the athletes in the program. His un-selfish attitude is evident in the way he distributes the ball to his teammates and how he mentors some of the younger players on the team."
Luongo said that Healy is a "silent leader who leads by example," with a team that looks up to him when they "need something to happen."
"My coaching staff and I are honored to be coaching such a fine young man, hard worker and well disciplined student athlete," said Luongo.
Healy joins his team to compete in Saturday's Central Massachusetts district Championship between Grafton High School and Algonquin Regional High School, reports the Northborough Daily Voice.
