The Athletic Department is very excited to announce the launch of the new Athletic Hall of Fame website. You can go to the school’s home page and click on athletics, then sports or go directly to the new site.
The site provides a history of the Athletic Hall of Fame, a list of all inductees, induction programs and videos, a description of the selection process and criteria for eligibility, nomination forms, and ways to “support” the Hall of Fame. In addition there are links to the Algonquin Athletic and Athletic Boosters
sites. While visiting these sites you can access the athletics schedule and learn more about the mission and role of the booster club.
Since the first Hall of Fame class was honored in the fall of 1999, the induction ceremony has become a special event for the communities of Northborough and Southborough as well as Algonquin alumni and current student-athletes.
"With the website we will now be able to promote the Hall of Fame at another
level," said Whitten, "while identifying future nominees and generating support for the event. The continued support of past inductees and friends of Algonquin athletics is critical to continuing this remarkable tradition. When you are on the site be certain to look at the 'How to Support the Hall of Fame' link and please consider making a contribution to the Algonquin Athletic Hall of Fame."
