Algonquin Sophomore Comes in Second in Her Heat in Olympics

She did not qualify for the semi-finals, but Dorian Mcmeney placed second in her heat.

Dorian Mcmenemy is a sophomore at Algonquin Regional High School, but competed in the 2012 Summer Olympics representing her mother's home country, the Dominican Republic, as the Northborough Daily Voice reported.

Mcmenemy finished second in her heat in the 100-meter butterfly swim with a time of 1:05:78, according to the official NBC Olympics site, and placed at 41 overall.
