• Northborough Library's Storybook Garden Wins Regional Award (patch.com) — Families in Northborough can take pride in the Northborough Free Library's Storybook Garden, which just earned a 2026 Community Greening Award from the New England Botanic Garden at Tower Hill. The once-unused space now features book-themed grow bags and a Storybook Garden Club, giving local children hands-on lessons in science and nature while showcasing the town's commitment to creative green spaces.
   

• Car plunges into backyard swimming pool (wsvn.com) — A car delivering neighbors' packages crashed through a fence and plunged fully into a backyard swimming pool on Franklin Circle in Northborough, but the driver escaped without injuries. Northborough firefighters oversaw the evening removal of the submerged Hyundai, whose driver believes a steep driveway and possible brake failure sent him choosing the pool over the house.
   

• Writer who once produced IceCats game at WTAG returns to Worcester (telegram.com) — A longtime sports media professional recalls producing Worcester IceCats broadcasts and how moving to Northborough both shortened his Route 9 commute and introduced him to the then-new Northborough Profile newspaper, sparking his writing career. Now returning to Worcester with the Telegram & Gazette, he reflects on those early days covering Algonquin sports and local teams.
